You are beginning to get to know them well, my po«k»ets!
All the same and yet all so different…
There are some new ones, the first one is for Zoe, Nolan’s biggest friend, which only had a couple of meters to voyage until its addressee.
The second one for a little boy named Maxim, 4 years old, who has just been welcomed within his new Spanish family. Laurent wanted to offer a present linked to this character he likes so much and which lies him to his Russian roots. Yes, the Schtroumpfs are also known in Russia and in Spain.
And for the first time there I used double color flex, but without superposing the two, as I wanted to use the color of the material for the character. I’m pretty much content with the results for a « first time ».

Nolan had been invited to his friend, Gabriel’s birthday. So, he needed a birthday present made in Chifoumilly!
After making some research on Gabriel’s taste and preferences, I launched myself into creating a pillow with his name and one of his favorite hero on it. I call Spiderman!
On the front the name is laid on. For a change, I did not chose the bourdon stitch but rather a straight stitch instead. But it is still realized with embroidery thread for a better rendering. The other side, made in blue cotton, is decorated with a big flex, cut with the help of my little portrait, which demanded an awful lot of time for the die-cutting.

Evening dress !

For a cousin’s wedding in early July, I made the outfits for children following the dress code without really knowing it!

For Nolan, I made a vest out from the Burda 2012 series, gray and white cotton linen with thin black stripes tennis.

For the vest: two false pockets in the colors of the liner and false placket in the back.

The pants has been made from the last Ottobre magazine. I added false pockets behind.

For Eline, a princess dress was required and in order to give it even greater significance, I added a tulle petticoat home-made model. The dress is made of white taffeta embroidered and adorned with silver sequins. The bust is lined with white cotton.

The dress is essentially from a Ottobre’s pattern, with as always some changes, like the length. The Day, the little girl wore a pink satin sash with a big knot. She was almost as beautiful as the bride.

Our kids had new bedrooms few months ago.

Nos loulous ont une nouvelle chambre depuis quelques temps. And who says new room also said new decor !

Noland wanted a dinosaurs bedroom (I think he will become a paleontologist, because he knows the name of a lot of them…He’s 4 years old, but it’s easier for him to say « Brachiosorus » than « there is »…). I used dinosaurs fabric (already seen before) to make these pictures.

tableau5Eline wanted a princess bedroom (I was sure ! Our kids are stereotypes !) I done some frames, painted with flashy colors to enhance the wallpaper. Then I decorated the bottom with stickers. Then I hooked Christmas figurines !

For Kiki !

Kilian had his birthday few days before our son, and he is a big boy now, 11 years old. So I wanted to mark the occasion by making him a little homemade present.

It seems teenagers likes small bags to wear over the shoulder so I thought a customized bag could please him !The bag is made with black jeans, lined in electric blue cotton, embroidery is done on a circle of white felt. The strap is coarse.

Pattern is homemade, I tried two times to have a centered zipper

The embroidery can be find on the web, but I don’t remember when !

Miam miam…

As I promised you some days ago, here is my « miam miam » lunch box. That’s an isothermic bag I use everyday to bring my lunch at work. the fabric is doubled and quilted (like some supermarket cool bags). The next one will be done with a survival blanket, more efficient to keep the good temperature !

This afternoon, Nolan celebrated his birthday with his girl friends. You saw invit cards, now here is the prize of the treasure hunt : big doudou cushion rabbit, japanese style (home made pattern !) for Nolan and his girl friends

Kids got the idea to put it around their neck, like flight cushion ! That’s a good idea, but I need to change a little bit the pattern.

And, of course, Eline would like one for herself !

Looking for the Spring…

Here are our kids’s cousins ​​for the baptism of the youngest one.

I proposed to make clothes for all of them, with the same trends of colors and fabrics. Nolan and his cousin (11 days older) are dressed in a cotton and linen reversible vest. The inside is made with a starry cotton for Nolan, and a cotton with peas for his cousin. The pants comes from an Ottobre pattern (with some modifications), with two pockets in the back with a reminder of the lining of jackets.

The youngest cousin wears an Ottobre pants and a vest similar tothe other boys, in striped cotton and peas (like his brother).

Eline wears a skirt in linen and cotton (Burda Occasional model ), a butterfly sleeve blouse and a bolero (home made pattern)
